This is an open and transparent policy that describes how we use and protect your information.

Information that we collect

We may collect and store the following personal information:

full name, company name, physical contact information, email, password;

transactional information based on your activities when using your CMDB Cloud Account (for example when posting, commenting, creating incidents etc);

correspondance through our sites, and correspondance sent to us;

other information from your interaction with our sites or content including computer/device and connection information, statistics on page views, traffic to and from the sites, IP address and stand web log information;

information we may need to ask you to submit to authenticate yourself or if we believe you are violating our terms of service or incur a debt to us;  

information from third parties (for example, if you incur a debt to CMDB Cloud, we may conduct a credit check by obtaining additional information about you from a credit bureau, as permitted by law.);

monitoring data collected from the CMDB Cloud Monitoring Client including server host name and several monitoring metrics (for example processor and memory metrics);

authentication keys that you explicitly provide for access to cloud providors APIs;

information available to us through your cloud providers API using the keys explicitly provided by you.

How we use information that we collect

You agree that we may use your personal information to:

provide the services you request;

resolve disputes, collect fees, and troubleshoot problems;

prevent, detect, and investigate potential phohibited or illegal activities, and enforce our terms of service;

customise, measure and improve our services and content;

tell you about our services, service updates, and promotional offers based on your account settings;

combine your information with information on other users and information we collect from other companies and use it to improve and personalise our services and content.

3rd Party Disclosure

We don't sell or rent your personal information to third parties for any purposes.

We may disclose personal information to provide our service, respond to legal requirements, enforce our policies, respond to claims that content infringes the rights of others, or protect anyone's rights, property, or safety.

We may also share your personal information with:

other CMDB Cloud users that are explicitly added to your CMDB Cloud account. For example, transactional information (for example when posting, commenting, creating incidents etc);

your CMDB Cloud portal customers. For example, when you respond to a portal customer's ticket, the customer may have access to the correspondance;

other third parties to whom you explicitly ask us to send your information (or about whom you are otherwise explicitly notified and consent to when using a specific service);

law enforcement agencies, other governmental agencies or third parties in response to a request for information relating to a criminal investigation, alleged illegal activity or any other activity that may expose us, you or any other CMDB Cloud user to legal liability;

other business entities, should we plan to merge with or be acquired by that business entity. (Should such a combination occur, we will require that the new combined entity follow this privacy policy with respect to your personal information. If your personal information will be used contrary to this policy, you will receive prior notice).

Without limiting the above,  we will not otherwise disclose your personal information to law enforcement, other government officials, or other third parties without a legally valid request, except when we believe in good faith that the disclosure of information is necessary to prevent imminent physical harm or financial loss or to report suspected illegal activity.

Except as otherwise expressly included in this Privacy Policy, this document addresses only the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. If you disclose your information to others, whether they are members of your organisation or your customers, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the information you disclose to them. CMDB Cloud does not control the privacy policies of third parties, and you are subject to the privacy policies of those third parties where applicable. We encourage you to ask questions before you disclose your personal information to others.

Cookies

We use "cookies" (small files placed on your hard drive) on some of our pages to help analyse our web page flow; customise our services and content; measure promotional effectiveness, and promote trust and safety.

A few important things you should know about cookies are that:

We offer certain features that are available only through the use of cookies.

We use cookies to help identify you and keep you logged in.

Most cookies are "session cookies", meaning that they are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of a session.

You are always free to decline our cookies if your browser permits, although doing so may interfere with your use of some of our sites or services.

Account Protection

Your password is the key to your account. Use unique numbers, letters and special characters, and do not disclose your CMDB Cloud password to anyone. If you do share your password or your personal information with others, remember that you are responsible for all actions taken in the name of your account. If you lose control of your password, you may lose substantial control over your personal information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf. Therefore, if your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately notify CMDB Cloud and change your password.

Accessing, Reviewing and Changing Your Personal Information

You can see, review and change most of your personal information by logging in to CMDB Cloud, or we can manually modify your personal information on your behalf if you request it. You must promptly update your personal information if it changes or is inaccurate. Once you make new content, you may not be able to change or remove it.

Upon your request to CMDB Cloud, we will close your account and remove your personal information from view as soon as reasonably possible, based on your account activity and in accordance with applicable law. We do retain personal information from closed accounts to comply with law, prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our User Agreement, and take other actions otherwise permitted by law.

Security

When accessing your CMDB Cloud Account we use SSL to protect your data as it passes from your browser to our secure servers.

Your information is stored on our servers. We treat data as an asset that must be protected and use lots of tools (encryption, passwords, physical security, etc.) to protect your personal information against unauthorised access and disclosure.

Public Access Points

If you access our sites from a shared computer or a computer in an internet café, certain information about you, such as your email address, may also be visible to other individuals who use the computer after you.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States . Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Google +1 Button (Google)

Google +1 is a service managed by Google Inc. which makes it possible for Users to publicly share information and to receive personalized content from Google and its partners. The personal data collected are: Cookie and IP.  As the User clicks on the +1 button, this action is recorded by Google, along with information about the page the User is viewing. In order to use the Google +1 button, Users need to have a public Google Profile visible to the world, which at a minimum includes the name chosen for the profile. Google may display profile identities to people who have Users' email address or other identifying information. The information the User provides to Google through this Website is used according to Google Privacy Policy. Google may share aggregate statistics related to Users' +1 activity with the public, other Users and partners (such as publishers, advertisers, or connected sites). Personal Data are stored in Google own servers, located in the United States and in other country. Google adheres to the U.S. Safe Harbor privacy principles. Payment Gateway

CMDB Cloud uses a secure payment gateway which has it's own privacy policy. We will never ask you for payments details such as your credit card number and do not store these details on our servers.

We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time by posting the amended terms on this page. All amended terms automatically take effect 30 days after they are initially posted. In addition, we will notify you via email at the address you provide.
